Just in time for the start of the new week, it was "Hello, new office" for the employees of call center service provider AMEVIDA in Bochum, as a lot happened over the weekend. On Friday evening, the employees said goodbye to their old workplace on Meesmannstraße in Riemke, and on Monday they welcomed the new premises at Westring 22. "The old building on Meesmannstraße has served us well in setting up our Bochum site. The further growth of Amevida in Bochum, a very efficient energy concept and certainly also the central location were decisive factors for the move," explains AMEVIDA CEO and owner Dr. Matthias Eickhoff.
The 218 ultra-modern workstations are spread over three floors in the corner building. Furnished according to an open-space concept, the new premises not only offer ergonomic desks and chairs, state-of-the-art IT infrastructure and flexible offices and meeting rooms, but also the perfect basis for a better working atmosphere - as the three-storey building, which is rented in its entirety by AMEVIDA, also has a roof terrace for employees in addition to the lounges and social rooms.
The much more central location with excellent public transport connections and close access to Bochum city center also makes this location attractive for employees. A special highlight for them is the integrated bicycle storage room with free charging facilities for e-bikes. "When planning and furnishing this property, we also attached great importance to sustainability and energy factors. For example, the interior and exterior sun protection devices are automatically controlled, the building is operated with an electric heat pump and the lighting, which is equipped with LED lamps, reacts via motion detectors," explains CIO Michael Wagner. In addition, the new Bochum site is also part of AMEVIDA's new, redundant data center site concept with a state-of-the-art connection to the fiber optic infrastructure.
"We're really happy about the new offices and the location with its proximity to the city center is also great. I already feel very comfortable here and look forward to coming to work," says Julia Senkel, employee in the coaching department, after her first day at Westring.
