Training as a step onto the career ladder

"What I liked best was the close-knit team spirit and the fact that I was able to get a taste of many different departments," says Milan Hafke, one of six trainees who successfully completed their training at AMEVIDA this year and were offered permanent positions. The call center operator from the Ruhr region is particularly proud of this: "For us," says CEO Dr. Matthias Eickhoff, "it is a matter of course that we not only offer as many young people as possible an apprenticeship, but also a perspective beyond the apprenticeship." Milan Hafke's path to the AMEVIDA career ladder led him to a job as a call center agent. At the time, he was still unskilled and wanted to earn some money for the time being. His team leader at the time persuaded him to apply for an apprenticeship at the company. Three years later, the 25-year-old is a qualified dialog marketing specialist. His colleague Ferhat Dogan is already thinking one step ahead and wants to continue his education with the support of HR development and build on his commercial training. He was also taken on after his training and now works as a junior process manager in the IT department in Gelsenkirchen. AMEVIDA has been training apprentices at its various locations for many years. There are currently more than 50 trainees among the 2,260 employees. On August 1, at least 17 young people will begin their journey into a new phase of work with an apprenticeship at AMEVIDA. They will then have two to three years to get to know the different departments and fields of activity at the individual locations. They are trained as dialog marketing clerks, service specialists for dialog marketing, office management clerks and IT systems clerks. Dr. Matthias Eickhoff: "This in-house training is an important asset for us. Because we can only achieve our ambitious goals in a growing but competitive market with our own qualified staff." Successful employees like Milan Hafke and Ferhat Dogan know their way around, feel at home in the company and have unlimited opportunities - on the AMEVIDA career ladder.
