More than two millennia of reliability and cohesion

When Uwe Elei talks about his work, he sounds really enthusiastic. And that's certainly not a given when you've been with the same company for 19 years. But for the man from Bochum, one thing is certain: "It's the great team spirit among my colleagues that has become so important to me. This community can only be built up over the years, and then the work is a lot of fun." The trained office administrator is responsible for the operation of the IT infrastructure at call center giant AMEVIDA in Gelsenkirchen. The 56-year-old is one of 210 long-serving employees who are now being honored for the first time in the company's history. The more than 200 employees will quickly reach over 2000 years of service. "After our rapid development in recent years, it's time for us to simply say 'thank you'," says Dr. Matthias Eickhoff, spokesman for the AMEVIDA Management Board. "Above all, we want to express our appreciation and gratitude for so much loyalty with this award." A total of 210 employees who have been working at the various locations for ten years or more will come together on January 26 for a central anniversary celebration at the AMEVIDA headquarters in Gelsenkirchen. Thomas Schlitzer from Waltrop has been with the company for 18 years. For him, one thing is clear: "It's still incredibly exciting for me to see the company grow. I still remember that we started with 50 people in the company. Now we have more than 2,200 colleagues spread across several locations throughout North Rhine-Westphalia." The software developer is extremely proud to have played a small part in this success and is also looking forward to meeting many of his colleagues again at the anniversary celebrations.
