AMEVIDA SE's new headquarters on Schalker Meile in Gelsenkirchen was officially opened on June 30, 2017.
Following extensive renovation work on the listed building, a company site has been created that is aligned with AMEVIDA's ideas and offers over 3,200 m² of office space and around 900 m² of archive space on four floors.
On this occasion, AMEVIDA welcomed numerous invited guests, AMEVIDA employees and representatives of the press.
Gelsenkirchen's Lord Mayor Frank Baranowski was delighted with the successful, gentle conversion of the historic building: "It will certainly be exciting to observe and experience how a company that is so well versed in contemporary, even forward-looking communication will integrate its dynamic processes into the listed walls of the former Thyssen Draht AG administration building. All this is happening at a special location, where Gelsenkirchen's industrial history had one of its centers very early on and where this building by Otto Prinz is one of the outstanding examples of post-war architecture."
Dr. Matthias Eickhoff, CEO of AMEVIDA SE, was also very satisfied with the result of the conversion work: "With our new company headquarters, we have created an attractive location which, in addition to state-of-the-art workplaces in a historical setting, offers optimal connections to the public transport network and is therefore extremely employee-friendly. With now two locations in Gelsenkirchen, we are underlining our very close connection to this Ruhr metropolis."
