Bianca Toffoletti, Head of Human Resources, is delighted with the special commitment of AMEVIDA employees and hands over the donation cheque to Birgit Schyboll, Chairwoman of the children's hospice service, on behalf of all employees.
"Your commitment shows that children's hospice work is a matter close to the hearts of you and your employees," explains Ms. Schyboll, adding: "We are happy to use your great donation for the heartfelt wishes of our children and the upcoming family holiday on the beautiful North Sea island of Nordeney."
The collection campaign was initiated by JAV Chairwoman Hilal Aykan, who wanted to donate the proceeds from the can throwing to the hospice on AMEVIDA's campaign day at the end of 2014.
The intention was very well received throughout the company, so that spontaneous waffle sales stalls were set up and collection rounds were started at the AMEVIDA locations, in which employees as well as the management and executive board took part.
* More than 400 children and young people with life-limiting illnesses and their families live in the area covered by the Kinderhospizdienst Ruhrgebiet e.V..
Children's hospice work in Germany is still very young.
